Tragic coincidence emerges as Sam Kerr’s grandmother is struck by ute

Sam Kerr has broken her silence after her grandmother was struck by a ute on Friday.Coral Kerr, 89, is understood to have been stepping off a bus in the suburb of Palmyra at around 11am, when the incident took place.The driver mounted the kerb in an attempt to overtake the bus before he hit the 89-year-old.The incident took place just metres away from Coral's house. She was subsequently rushed to the Royal Perth Hospital in a critical condition where she underwent surgery for a broken femur, ankle and hip. It is understood she also suffered a concussion during the crash.A 63-year-old man has been charged with one count of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm following the incident and is due to appear before the Fremantle Magistrates Court in Western…
